Brentford will play Swansea City in the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final. Both sides booked their place after winning through Semi-Finals today. The Bees beat AFC Bournemouth while Swansea overcame Barnsley to earn their spot. The teams will meet at 3pm next Saturday, 29 May, at Wembley Stadium and the winners will earn a place in the Premier League.

Brentford won through after a memorable, frantic game this afternoon. The Bees trailed 1-0 after the first match and fell behind on the day as Arnaut Danjuma raced clear to score. But Ivan Toney scored a penalty and Chris Mepham was sent off for Bournemouth as The Bees battled back. Vitaly Janelt gave Brentford the lead on the day and Marcus Forss scored to give The Bees a 3-2 aggregate win.

Swansea had a 1-0 lead going in to their game with Barnsley tonight. They made it 2-0 on aggregate as Matt Grimes scored. Barnsley levelled on the evening but could not equalise on aggregate and Swansea progressed.

This will be the next in a line of matches between these two teams. Both games this season ended 1-1 and both saw The Bees edge ahead before Swansea equalised late on. Swansea probably had the better of the first game, in West London, while Brentford held the upper hand in South Wales, but the spoils were shared.

The sides met in the Play-Off Semi-Finals last season. Swansea won in Wales but Brentford battled back to win the Second Leg 3-1 and reach the Play-Off Final, before losing to Fulham. The Bees won both regular season games in 2019/20 but Swansea won all three meetings the season before, twice in the Championship and in the FA Cup.

Ticket information for the match will be released tomorrow. The game will be played in front of spectators at Wembley and it is currently anticipated there will be a limit of 10,000 in attendance. More information can be seen here.
