Brentford FC has today, Tuesday 2 March, sent emails to all Season Ticket Holders and Premium Seat Holders to update them on access to matches for the rest of the season. The email is in reaction to updates from the Government last week on their response on the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Included in the email is confirmation that Season Ticket Holders’ VIP access to iFollow will remain in place for the rest of the season.
Last week, the Government announced its roadmap to ease restrictions. There looks to be light at the end of the tunnel, and with the plan stating that all adults are due to have been offered a vaccination by the end of July, we are hopeful we will have all our Season Ticket Holders back in the stadium for the beginning of next season.
Sadly, the Government guidelines also state that this season’s fixtures will remain behind closed doors until 17 May, which is after our last scheduled home Sky Bet Championship fixture against Watford on Saturday 1 May. The full Government statement can be seen here.
The Government may decide to stage pilot events for fans to attend matches before 17 May and rest assured, we will do everything in our power to be at the front of the queue for these events. If this includes any of our remaining scheduled home Sky Bet Championship fixtures, Season Ticket Holders will be invited in the same priority order we used prior to Christmas.
Until then, Season Ticket Holders and Premium Seat Holders will retain the free access to iFollow that they have had all season. Those fans who froze their Season Ticket will continue to get a complimentary stream for our home and midweek away league games. Games broadcast on Sky Sports are included but any weekend away fixtures which have been rescheduled are not. We hope that retaining free access to iFollow for eligible games for longer may also help these fans support the Club via iFollow for our weekend away fixtures. If you have any questions or did not receive an email, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can email email@example.com if you have technical issues.
Whilst we are planning for unrestricted capacities next season, we have all seen how plans can change, and will of course put contingency plans in place if reduced capacities are still in operation for the start of next season.
Despite the challenging schedule of fixtures, the coaches and players are in good spirits and well positioned for the final stages of this season. Supporters who made the decision to freeze their Season Ticket helped protect the financial wellbeing of our Club and we'd like to thank them once more for their backing.
Stay safe, keep believing and best wishes from everyone at the Club.
