Having beaten the likes of Chelsea Under-23s, Ebbsfleet United and Forest Green Rovers in recent weeks, the young Bees will be aiming to pick up another positive result when they travel across London to take on The Addicks.

Due to the international break, the side will be without a few members of the squad with Fin Steven and Nathan Shepperd both with Wales- along with Joe Adams who is on loan with Grimsby Town. Also missing will be Alex Gilbert after he linked up with the Republic of Ireland Under-21 side.

The young Bees, who have had to contend with a number injuries in defence of late, could welcome back some bodies to the back line having been without the likes of Kane O'Connor, Ben Hockenhull, Tristan Crama and Aubrel Koutsimouka for a number of weeks.

The side could come up against a mixture of youth and experience on Thursday and the match will provide another stern test for Neil MacFarlane's side.

Athletic are currently seventh in Sky Bet League One and will be looking to finish the season strongly under new manager Nigel Adkins with the aim of trying to confirm a spot in this season's play-offs.

The young Bees last travelled to Charlton to take on their under-23 side back in December last year as they picked up a 3-0 win with goals from Max Haygarth, Gilbert and Adams.

We will be providing coverage across social media, as well as a match report and post-match interviews following the fixture.
