The midfielder, who is currently on loan with Sky Bet League One side AFC Wimbledon, has been named as part of a 23-man squad who will train over an eight-day period and play two training matches against Finnish League sides, FC Haka on 25 March, and HIFK Helsinki on 29 March in behind closed doors games.

Both FC Haka and HIFK are in preparation for their league campaigns and both sides will provide stern tests for the Under-21 national side.

Jaakko has been a regular for his nation at youth level and broke in the Under-21 side to help the team in their UEFA European Championship qualifying matches last year. The side are now building towards European Championship qualifiers in September which will lead up to the 2023 tournament. On the agenda they have the likes of Estonia, Croatia, Norway, Austria and Azerbaijan to play.

After another impressive season with Brentford B in 2019/20, Jaakko joined up with The Dons in the summer of 2020 in order to get competitive game time under his belt. The 20-year-old has played 18 times for the side this season in all competitions, most recently featuring against Blackpool in a 1-1 draw away from home.
