Despite scoring six goals, and contributing three assists, in six starts, Ivan Toney missed out on the Football League World Player of the Month prize to Barnsley's Michal Helik.
The Bees frontman grabbed a brace against Middlesbrough as well as finding the net in wins over Bristol City, Reading, and Stoke City. He also scored in our derby defeat at Queens Park Rangers. On top of the goals, he provided the knockdown for Vitaly Janelt's goal against Boro and the assists for both Josh Dasilva's strikes in the 3-1 win over Reading.
However, it was Barnsley's Helik who helped The Tykes to a perfect five wins from five, including three clean sheets, who took the prize.
It was the third time in five months that Ivan was nominated for the award, having won the inaugural prize back in October.
