In March last year, just before restrictions on movement were implemented due to the Covid-19 pandemic, six EFL Clubs were recognised as regional winners of the Community Club of the Year Award at the Houses of Parliament. A lot has changed in the past year with the work of football clubs in their communities coming in to focus. That will be noted when the next batch of Community Club of the Year Award winners are announced in the coming weeks.

The Your Move Community Club of the Year Award will be judged by an independent panel. It is an award to recognise club community schemes, such as Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, that have demonstrated outstanding success in engaging communities in the 2020 calendar year. Six regional winners will be announced before an overall winner is named.

Earlier this month the EFL caught up with the 2020 regional winners to see how they have been working during the Covid-19 outbreak. The impact of the work of EFL Club Community Organisations across the country is unparalleled and highlights the power of football as a force for good. See more here.

Louise Hudson, Your Move’s Marketing Director commented: “Our sponsorship of the Community Club of the Year is an important part of our partnership with the EFL, confirming our true commitment to local communities and the importance we place on our role as EFL’s Official Communities Supporter. Our teams are already fully engaged in supporting the local communities with the launch of our Your Club Your Kit competition, which provides the opportunity for them to directly support local grassroots teams. We’re really pleased that our sponsorship of the Community Club of the Year will add to this as we support the important and impactful work of EFL Clubs in the community - we simply can’t wait to see the entries that come in.”

Your Move are giving away more than 100 team kits this spring. The new football strips will go to school teams and community clubs across the UK. Each team will win 13 shirts, including one for your goalie, shorts and socks. Every strip will have your club logo and be in your club colours so you’ll be ready and looking sharp when football is back. See more here.
