Brentford B return to action on Wednesday as they travel to take on a Forest Green Rovers XI in a 1pm kick-off.
The match will take place behind closed doors at Melksham Town FC’s Oakfield Stadium and the side will look to return to winning ways following Sunday’s match with St Albans City.
Six players from Thomas Frank’s First Team featured for the B Team last weekend to gain valuable minutes, and the likes of youngsters Nathan Shepperd, Fin Stevens, Aubrel Koutsimouka, Mads Bidstrup and Gustav Mogensen all benefited from significant game time alongside experienced players such as Christian Norgaard and Emiliano Marcondes.
The remaining members of Neil MacFarlane’s squad have been hard at work in training with lots of them featuring in an 11 v 11 training match last week at Bisham Abbey.
Forest Green are currently third in Sky Bet League Two and have been having a strong season under Mark Cooper as they aim to progress from English football’s fourth tier. At the moment they occupy the final promotion spot in the division on 57 points, just two behind Cheltenham Town who are top of the league.
There are a number of sides hot on their heels, though, with the likes of Morecambe and Tranmere Rovers not far behind in the current play-off positions. The young Bees could come up against players from the Rovers' youth side and First Team at the Oakfield Stadium.
There will be live updates across social media of the match, as well as a full report and post-match interviews with Neil MacFarlane and members of the playing squad. We intend to live stream this fixture on our YouTube channel with full details to be posted ahead of kick-off.
