Moments of the Month: March

A look back at March during our promotion season

13 June 2021

It’s fair to say that March was less busy at the Club with just four matches played across the month- mainly due to the international break. It was a month which started with a defeat for The Bees as they travelled to eventual league winners, Norwich City. Nonetheless, there were still some highlights throughout the month.

Bees claim win on wet and wild night in Blackburn

Blackburn away on a Friday night is a tough test for anyone in the division, but The Bees managed to claim all three points at Ewood Park with a battling performance and strong defensive play added to the clinical Ivan Toney from the spot. Brentford could have been more than a goal up at the break, but the first half was mostly played in the middle third. The second was more open with Blackburn introducing attacking players and pushing forward but the hosts could not breach Brentford’s well-drilled defence and The Bees took the points.
