Bees net four in the North East
The Bees conceded inside three minutes but they bounced back. Ivan Toney levelled before half time and Brentford moved through the gears in the second half. They took the lead through Vitaly Janelt before Mathias Jensen made it three. Toney’s second of the afternoon, and 22nd of the season, confirmed a 4-1 win late on to go with recent 1-0 and 2-1 victories on Teesside.
Dasilva double in Berkshire
Two goals inside the final five minutes helped Brentford complete a come back from a goal down and record a win against fellow high-flyers Reading. The Bees trailed to a penalty from Lucas João and had a difficult opening to the game, but Josh Dasilva conjured an equaliser before the break. An even and enthralling contest looked set to be heading for a 1-1 draw before Dasilva smashed The Bees in front and Ivan Toney scored his 23rd of the season to seal a magnificent, hard fought, 3-1 win.
