The first action for Marcus will come in Helsinki against Estonia on 4 June in a final Warm-Up game before the action proper gets underway in Copenhagen against Denmark on 12 June, kick-off 5pm. The Finns will then decamp to St Petersburg for their next two Group B fixtures against Russia on 16 June, kick-off 2pm, and Belgium on 21 June, kick-off 8pm.

Marcus has earned four caps for Finland at senior level so far, to add to 17 at Youth Level. He scored on debut against France in a friendly last November before featuring in both of that month's Nations League games against Bulgaria and Wales. He was named in the squad for Finland's opening World Cup qualifiers in March, remaining on the bench as The Eagle Owls began with two draws. The 21-year-old did earn his fourth cap at the end of March in a 3-2 friendly defeat to Switzerland.

Saturday's Play-Off final against Swansea City was Marcus' 50th appearance this campaign. He played in every round, netting twice, against West Bromwich Albion and Fulham, as we reached the Semi-Final of the Carabao Cup, our first ever major cup semi-final, and has also scored seven Sky Bet Championship goals.

In December, the Brentford B graduate signed a new long-term contract through to 2026 and, in March, he made his 50th First Team appearance for The Bees.

He also wrote his name into Brentford folklore last month with the goal against AFC Bournemouth that sent us to Wembley for Saturday's Play-Off Final win.
