Just one of our players was in international action yesterday as Jaakko Oksanen captained Finland Under-21s in a friendly with Slovakia.
The side are preparing for their European Qualifiers which take place in September, but this friendly will be one to forget as they were beaten 4-0.
Finland had a tough first period as they found themselves having conceded all four before the 40-minute mark. Roland Galčík found the net on 10 minutes before Adrián Kaprálik doubled their lead on 23 minutes. Just after the half hour mark Matej Trusa got himself not the scoresheet before Kaprálik notched a second seven minutes before the break.
Patrik Gunnarsson wasn't involved for Iceland in their 2-2 draw with Poland. The side were ahead going into the final couple of minutes of normal time, but Karol Świderski found the net for Poland in the friendly.
Tariqe Fosu missed Ghana's friendly away in Morocco as the side were beaten 1-0 away from home. Jawad El Yamiq grabbed the game's only goal 20 minutes from time. Having been involved with Brentford in and around the Play-Offs, Tariqe will be available for the match with Ivory Coast later this week.
