Having joined up with their respective squads late due to Saturday's Play-Off Final win over Swansea City, neither Vitaly nor Mads came off the bench last night in Székesfehérvár.

Denmark took the lead with 20 minutes to play through Wahid Faghir only for Lukas Nmecha to equalise two minutes from time. Into added time and Jonathan Burkardt gave Germany the advantage in the 100th minute. Denmark hit back though through Victor Nelsson's penalty as the game went to spot kicks.

Two of the heroes in 120 minutes, Burkardt and Faghir missed early as the shootout went to sudden death. When Victor Kristiansen missed Denmark's seventh spot kick it was left to Paul Jaeckel to seal the win and set up a mouthwatering Last Four clash against Netherlands on Thursday.

One player who did feature for their nation last night was Halil Dervişoğlu who played the final 20 minutes of Turkey's goalless draw against Guinea in Antalya.

Halil scored on his full debut against Azerbaijan on Thursday but was named among the substitutes last night as Turkey played the second of their three European Championship Warm-Up games.

A drab game saw the home side register just two shots on target against the World Ranked 72 side.

Next up for Halil and Turkey are Moldova on Thursday before their opening group match against Italy on 11 June. Galatasaray.
