Brentford’s build up to their first-ever Premier League season will include a pre-season friendly away to Boreham Wood. The Bees will play in the top flight of English football for the first time since 1947 and a pre-season friendly programme is being prepared. It will include a game in Hertfordshire on Tuesday 20 July. The match will kick-off at 7.30pm.

The Bees have been regular visitors to Boreham Wood over the past decade. We played the Vanarama National League side in pre-season in five out of six seasons up to 2018. Brentford won an FA Cup First Round tie at Meadow Park in 2012 and then played friendly games in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2018.

Boreham Wood have been in the National League, the top flight of non-league football, since 2015. They reached the National League Play-Off Final in 2018 after finishing fourth in the table, their best-ever finish. They also reached the Play-Offs in 2020 but finished 14th last season.

Brentford’s Premier League season will start on the weekend of 14 August. The fixture list will be announced on Wednesday, 16 June. More details on pre-season fixtures will be announced when confirmed.
