The start of the Premier League season is less than four weeks away and the pre-season friendly programme has now started. A Joel Valencia goal gave The Bees a 1-0 win against AFC Wimbledon on a scorching day in South London yesterday. Next up for Brentford is a trip to Boreham Wood.

Brentford's Premier League season will start on Friday 13 August with a game against Arsenal. The Bees will play in the top flight of English football for the first time since 1947 and the game against Boreham Wood is part of the pre-season programme. The game against Boreham Wood will be played on Tuesday, 20 July and will kick-off at 7.30pm.

The Bees have been regular visitors to Boreham Wood over the past decade. We played the Vanarama National League side in pre-season in five out of six seasons up to 2018. Brentford won an FA Cup First Round tie at Meadow Park in 2012 and then played friendly games in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2018.

Boreham Wood are selling tickets to those who want to attend the fixture. Bees fans will be able to attend if they wish. Details on how those not attending can follow the match will follow shortly. Please note, these tickets are being sold directly by Boreham Wood and not via Brentford FC.

Boreham Wood have been in the National League, the top flight of non-league football, since 2015. They reached the National League Play-Off Final in 2018 after finishing fourth in the table, their best-ever finish. They also reached the Play-Offs in 2020 but finished 14th last season.
