Brentford completed the signing of Nigeria international midfield player Frank Onyeka yesterday, subject to international clearance. The 23-year-old joined for an undisclosed fee and has signed a five-year contract. He is not yet able to join the squad for training, due to quarantine, but can be added to your Fantasy Premier League team.
The game went live last month and managers can create their squads now for the 2021/22 season. You can register your team ahead of the start of the new campaign, which kicks off on Friday 13 August, and for the first time ever, you can put Brentford players in it. As of today, you can add Frank Onyeka to the squad.
The Fantasy Premier League season prices were revealed last month and there's plenty of value to be found in selecting some of our stars for the season ahead. Full details on the Brentford prices can be found here. More information on prices of players at other clubs can be seen here. With a £100million budget to spend and unlimited transfers until Gameweek 1, you can use the next seven weeks to tinker with potential team selections.
Fantasy Premier League enables you to create and join up to 20 private leagues with friends. You can play in classic leagues, with total points deciding the rankings, or take part in head-to-head leagues, where managers duel each Gameweek, earning three points for a win and one for a draw. More on the launch can be seen here and there is lots more FPL information on the Premier League website here.
Frank may not be able to join in training but he is in London. He had a message for Brentford fans, which can be seen below.
Frank joined us from FC Midtjylland, in Denmark. He has spent his entire professional career with FCM, as they are known, after arriving in Denmark as an 18-year-old. Frank was part of the FCM side that won the Superliga in 2017/18, playing 15 games. He helped them win the title again in 2019/20 and the Danish Cup in 2019. Frank played in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League for FCM, and leaves Denmark having made 123 appearances and scored 17 goals. FCM have made a special video to reflect on Frank's time with them. That will be released later this week but has been teased below.
