The Football Association confirmed yesterday that the 2021-22 Emirates FA Cup and Vitality Women’s FA Cup campaigns will both conclude over the same weekend at Wembley Stadium connected by EE for the very first time. The Emirates FA Cup, which will be celebrating its 150th anniversary, is due to kick-off on Saturday 7 August 2021 with its extra preliminary round. The Final is planned to take place at the home of English football on Saturday 14 May 2022.
The Premier League has announced that its fixtures on this date have been re-scheduled to ensure a standalone kick-off time. Brentford's Premier League game against Everton on that weekend will be played on Sunday 15 May. It would be rescheduled if either side was in the FA Cup Final.
The FA Cup will run through the season, with the qualifying rounds running until 16 October. The First Round Proper will be on 6 November and Brentford will enter at the Third Round stage on 8 January. A full list of dates are below and more can be seen here.
