Burton travelled to the Sands Venue Stadium to take on the League Two side and continue their preparations for their upcoming League One campaign. United went ahead through George Taft before Jonny Smith levelled things and the game was won midway through the second period with a United goal courtesy of a Trialist.

The side will now look to Saturday’s afternoon’s Bass Charity Vase match with Leicester City at the Pirelli Stadium.

Brentford B’s Aaron Pressley earned his first minutes in AFC Wimbledon colours as he got an hour of game time against Kingstonian. The Dons fielded a mixture of First Team and youth players during the match with Aaron playing from the start.

It was ultimately a 2-0 defeat for The Dons with the goals coming courtesy of Simon Cooper and Elliott Buchanan for The Ks. There are more pre-season games to come for Wimbledon as they play against Hampton & Richmond Borough on Friday before facing Dartford on Saturday.
