We return to action in 48 hours time with Luton Town the visitors to the Brentford Community Stadium. Following our enforced Covid-19 break, it'll be our first Sky Bet Championship action of 2021 and the match officials have now been confirmed for the game.
Referee: Stephen Martin
Assistant Referees: Daniel Leach and Andrew Fox
Fourth Official: Robert Whitton
This is Stephen Martin’s ninth season as a referee in the EFL and fifth as a member of the Select Group Two of Sky Bet Championship match officials.
The Staffordshire official, whose father and grandfather were both officials in the Football League, first took charge of us in April 2013 as we lost 2-0 to MK Dons at Stadium:MK. We've only lost one of our five home games under Martin and most recently drew 1-1 with Swansea City at the Brentford Community Stadium in November.
Martin, who, as part of the PGMOL exchange programme, refereed three J-League games in 2013, previously took charge of home wins over Crawley Town in April 2014, Brighton and Hove Albion in September 2014 and Ipswich Town in August 2016 as well as last season's 1-0 success on the road at Middlesbrough.
In total, we have won four and lost four of the 11 games under him.
So far this term Martin has taken charge of 19 games, showing 41 yellow cards.
