Jaakko Oksanen played his first 90 minutes after recovering from injury for AFC Wimbledon on Saturday, whilst Arthur Read also played a full game for a rejuvenated Stevenage.
Jaakko, who joined The Dons on loan at the beginning of the campaign was part of the side that were narrowly beaten 2-1 at home by Lincoln City, who occupy top spot in the Sky Bet League One table.
Tayo Edun had put the away side ahead before Ollie Palmer’s header put The Dons on level terms, but it was Tom Hopper’s 83rd minute strike which won it for City as Wimbledon now sit 20th in the league table.
Elsewhere in League One Shrewsbury Town’s match with Crewe Alexandra was postponed due to an outbreak of coronavirus therefore there was no game time for Jan Žambůrek.
In Sky Bet League Two Arthur Read helped Stevenage continue their improved results as they made it back-to-back wins with victory over Scunthorpe United on home soil.
It was actually United who went ahead after five minutes but Charlie Carter turned the game on its head with two goals before Aramide Oteh ensured the points were safe in added time as Arthur got another 90 minutes under his belt. Stevenage will now prepare for their Emirates FA Cup tie with Swansea City this weekend.
In the Premier League there was also maximum minutes for Saïd Benrahma as West Ham United picked up a 1-0 win away from home with a late finish from Tomáš Souček. The Hammers are 10th in the league table and face a Third Round FA Cup trip to Stockport County next.
