The 21-year-old, who joined the young Bees in September last year arrived on an initial short-term contract but will now remain with Neil MacFarlane’s side for the second half of the campaign.

Jared made his Brentford B debut earlier in the season away from home at Aldershot Town and he has also featured on two occasions against Maidenhead United. The young Bees first drew 1-1 at York Road before beating The Magpies 3-0 in early 2021.

Prior to signing for Brentford last year, he had been with Sky Bet League Two side Exeter City, and he came through the youth ranks with Chelsea.

Discussing Jared’s contract extension, Brentford B Head Coach Neil MacFarlane said: “We’re really happy that Jared is extending his stay with us and I think it’s really good for him to remain in this environment.

“Since he’s come in, he’s stepped up to the plate in terms of his professionalism both on and off the pitch, and it was pleasing to see him get some well-earned minutes recently against Maidenhead.

“Jared was at the Club for a period before my time and all of the staff spoke very highly of him. He’s been brilliant for the group and he’s really well liked within the changing room. He’s always doing extras to make himself better and has good standards which will help the whole group moving forwards.”
