Thomas Frank has been named Coach of the Year for 2020 by a Danish football website. Transfermarkedet, a Danish football news website, conducted a poll of users for its 2020 awards. Thomas was named Coach of the Year in the poll.

Other winners included Tottenham Hotspur midfield player Pierre Emile Højbjerg, who was named male player of the year, and Chelsea's Pernille Harder, who was voted female player of the year. The past 12 months saw Thomas lead Brentford to their highest finish in more than 70 years and a place in the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final. The Bees have started the 2020/21 season well and reached the Carabao Cup Semi-Finals for the first time ever.

Thomas said the award was a team effort. He said: “Thank you very much for those who voted for me. As everyone knows, that award is an expression of a great team effort from my staff who do a huge job every single day and some fantastic players who push on every day to get better. ”
