Brentford FC were beaten to the Screwfix Moment of the Month for December. The Screwfix Moment of the Month competition gives fans the opportunity to vote for the standout moment from the previous month. The first game in front of fans at our new stadium was on the shortlist for the latest prize but did not win.

The first fans in our stadium was on the shortlist for the prize along with Port Vale scoring six against Bolton Wanderers and Exeter City striker Ryan Bowman scoring back-to-back home hat-tricks. The winner was Kyle Joseph, 19, of Wigan Atheltic notching a hat-trick of his own against Burton Albion.

Brentford moved in to a new stadium at the start of the season. The final games at our historic Griffin Park home were played behind closed doors, as were the first at our new stadium. On Saturday 5 December we welcomed a crowd of 2,000 to a game against Blackburn Rovers for the first game in front of fans at our new home but that was not enough to take the prize.
