Thomas on recent instances of online abuse ...

It is a massive thing that we highlight diversity. The people who are sending death threats or writing racist things are cowards. Social media should do more to delete accounts.

Thomas on Ivan Toney's return to goalscoring form ...

Every goalscorer has short spells where they don’t score but the main thing is that you are consistent and try to improve. Ivan has been leading the line, he is a good pressing player, and growing more and more into one of the leaders in the squad. He has trained well and shown a top attitude. We knew it was only a matter of time until he scored plus he has assisted for some crucial points.

Thomas on tomorrow's opponents ...

We can talk about these six point games but I said to the players before training today, for me it is just the next game and an opportunity to win the next three points. We are playing against a very good side who have done fantastically. Veljko Paunovic has done a top job as it more or less the same squad as last year and they are flying in the Championship after only one week of preparation. On their day, their front four are among the best in the division. We need to step up defensively compared to the last few games where we have given too many chances and soft goals away. We have to be at our absolute highest defensive standards to get three points from this game.

Thomas on the chance to go top of the table ...

You don’t win the Championship in February. Three points will be big but for me it is just the next three points. We know where we would like to be when the season ends, this is just another game. I expect it is going to be extremely difficult against an in-form team but we can go there and get three points. The more points we can get, going down the path to the end of the season, the better.

Thomas on our unbeaten run ...

20 games unbeaten in a league like the Championship, that is so competitive and so even, is crazy but we need to continue. I sense no arrogance. It would be a little strange, and I would be a little worried if the team didn’t gain a lot of confidence from this run of games. I said to the players today that the difference between being confident and being arrogant or complacent is the ability to keep working hard, keep focussed on what is in front of you, and keep up that desire when it gets tough. If you can keep that hard work, keep that hunger, and that extreme focus on what is in front of you, and use that confidence, then you can create something unique.
