Brentford made it six wins in their last seven Sky Bet Championship home matches with a victory over Sheffield Wednesday last night and have another game on their own turf next on the agenda. The Bees ended a three-match losing run with a 3-0 victory last night. Stoke City come to West London on Saturday, 27 February, for Brentford's next test in a match that will kick-off at 3pm.

The win last night kept The Bees second in the Championship table and maintained the status quo among the sides leading the pack. Norwich City are seven points ahead and Watford are third, on goal difference. Swansea City are fourth, a point behind The Bees. All have won in the past two days.

Watford have the chance to move in to second place before Brentford play, as they face AFC Bournemouth on Saturday lunchtime. Swansea host Bristol City at the same time Brentford are in action. Norwich play on Sunday afternoon this week, away to Wycombe Wanderers.

Stoke have had the upper hand in recent games between the teams. They won the reverse fixture 3-2 when two late goals from Marcus Forss could not set Brentford up to come all the way back from 3-0 down. Stoke took four points from Brentford last season, drawing 0-0 on their last visit to Griffin Park. Brentford did win in West London in the 2018/19 campaign and won an FA Cup tie last term.

The Potters lost to Barnsley last night and sit tenth in the table. They are four points behind Cardiff City, who currently occupy sixth-place and the final spot in the Play-Offs. That continued an inconsistent run for Stoke, who have won three of their last 16 in the Championship, but drawn eight of them.

Those three wins all came at home, against Luton Town, Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn Rovers, and their last three points away from home was at Wycombe Wanderers at the start of December. The have won four of 16 away from home overall but have been good defensively. The Potters have only conceded 16 goals in those 16 games.

The match will, unfortunately, be behind closed doors. It will, however, be available live on iFollow Brentford.
