It was a perfect home debut for Joe Adams in midweek as he grabbed the winner for Grimsby Town against Crawley in Sky Bet League Two.
The Mariners, who are fighting to climb out of the relegation places, went ahead when Filipe Morais found the net on 21 minutes but the away side quickly hit back with a goal of their own from Jack Powell. With the match heading to the latter stages, Joe popped up with an improvised finish from close range 11 minutes from time to confirm a 2-1 win. Grimsby are now three points off Southend who occupy 22nd and are out of the relegation zone, and Town have two games in hand on United. Swindon would then surrender the lead just before the hour mark as Morgan Rogers finished to draw level as the side took a valuable point.
