EFL Trust holds annual conference

Report from event held earlier this season

20 December 2021

The EFL Trust National Conference 2021 was held earlier this year at St. George’s Park, Burton. The EFL Trust is the charitable arm of the EFL and was established in 2008 to oversee the work of EFL club community organisations, such as Brentford FC Community Sports Trust. It is responsible for distributing core funding from the Premier League and The PFA to each CCO and highlights community work done by clubs across the country.

Our Trust has worked with the EFL Trust for more than a decade and many projects are still ongoing. This includes the National Citzen Scheme and the Kickstart Scheme. Representatives from came together in Burton in the autumn to celebrate their collective work across the nation.

Day one of event featured several key speakers including EFL Chief Executive Trevor Birch. Outgoing EFL Trust Chair John Nixon was first to address those in attendance. He also received a presentation from the EFL Chief, on behalf of the League and clubs, following a decade of service.

Day two of the conference started with Therese Coffey congratulating the network for giving young people opportunities through the Kickstart scheme. See more on the event here.
