The behind closed doors match will see the young Bees test themselves against League One opposition and they will be looking to build on positive recent displays.

Last week Neil MacFarlane’s side drew 2-2 against a strong Swansea City XI in South Wales, and the young Bees have also picked up victories in recent weeks over the likes of MPA Academy, Broadfields United and Aris Limassol.

Oxford are currently fifth in the League One table and most recently picked up a 2-1 win over MK Dons at the weekend. After falling behind on 11 minutes, they levelled through Matty Taylor before Mark Sykes scored the winner 11 minutes from time. In charge of Oxford is Karl Robinson, who joined the club in 2018 having previously managed MK Dons and Charlton Athletic. The side missed out on promotion to the Championship last season after falling to defeat in the Play-Offs, but they’re in a strong position at the moment as they are just three points behind Wigan Athletic who occupy the last automatic promotion spot. United have 39 points after 21 games and have won 11 times, drawn six and lost four.
