A two year project run by Brentford FC Community Sports Trust has come to an end. In 2019 our Trust joined forces with the European Football Development Network (EFDN), UEFA Foundation and six other European football foundations to start delivering the Scoring for Health programme in schools. After engaging hundreds of participants, that programme has now come to an end.

The Scoring for Health programme encourages children from the ages of seven to 13, and their parents, to adopt a healthy lifestyle and make them aware of the value of eating healthily and being active. One of the drivers behind the programme is the recent work by the World Health Organisation, which finds that obesity in children remains an important public health problem in Europe. The Trust delivered the programme in two schools, St Mary’s Catholic Primary School in Chiswick, and St Anselm’s Catholic Primary School in Southall.
