The young Bees, who recently beat Southend United 3-2 away from home, will head to South London looking for their second successive win over Palace having claimed a 1-0 win there last season.

This will be the fourth fixture for Neil MacFarlane’s side this season having also come up against the likes of Cambridge United and Dulwich Hamlet in recent weeks.

Last season Palace’s Under-23 side had a successful campaign as they earned promotion to Premier League 2 Division 1 with a Play-Off victory over Sunderland at Selhurst Park.

Their first game of their new campaign comes against Leeds United Under-23s on Monday 16 August before they then travel to Arsenal Under-23s four days later.

TEAM NEWS

It looks like Neil MacFarlane will have a strong selection to choose from within his B Team ranks with no real injury concerns following the match at Southend. Joe Adams will look to get himself on the scoresheet once more having already found the net four times this season. Lachlan Brook, who grabbed his first of the campaign at Southend, will also look to keep up his good form on the right-hand side.
