AFC Wimbledon came from two goals down to draw 2-2 away from home at Ipswich Town in Sky Bet League One on Saturday.
Aaron Pressley played the first hour of the match at Portman Road in a game where former Don Joe Pigott grabbed the game’s first goal for the home side from the penalty spot on 52 minutes. It got worse for Wimbledon just a couple of minutes later as Wes Burns found the net.
Wimbledon quickly halved the deficit through Ben Heneghan and they managed to earn themselves a draw in the 95th minute of the match as Jack Rudoni scrambled an effort home. The Dons are next in action on Saturday 4 September against Oxford United and they currently sit 15th in the league table.
As for Burton Albion, they were held at home by newly promoted Cheltenham Town as they had to come from behind to earn a 1-1 draw.
Callum Wright put Town ahead on 28 minutes before a second half strike from Lucas Akins earned Albion a point. Ellery Balcombe was an unused substitute on the night as Burton sit 7th and host MK Dons in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday.
