Brentford B midfielder Jaakko Oksanen has earned an international call-up to the Finland Under-21 squad ahead of UEFA European Championship qualification matches in September.
The youngster, who has been a regular at youth level for Finland, has earned another call-up for the side as they begin their campaign to qualify for the 2023 tournament which will be held in Georgia and Romania.
Finland have been drawn in a group with Croatia, Austria, Norway, Azerbaijan and Estonia. The group stage will run until June 2022 with the nine group winners and the best runner up will qualify for the tournament.
Their first fixture on 3 September will see the side travel to Estonia before a fixture on home soil with Croatia on 7 September. The following international break in October will see the side face Azerbaijan and then Austria.
Jaakko has been in action for Neil MacFarlane’s B Team in recent weeks as he featured against the likes of Aldershot Town and Dulwich Hamlet.
