The young Bees have been in excellent form of late having claimed their fifth consecutive win after their 3-2 victory over Arsenal Under-23s on Easter Sunday.

They will be looking to extend that run when they take on a United youth side who have been in good form themselves of late. Last time out they won the Steel City derby by beating Sheffield Wednesday 4-0 at Middlewood Road.

They've been in fine scoring form of late as the win over Wednesday followed up a 4-0 win over Queens Park Rangers Under-23s and a 5-0 victory over Birmingham City Under-23s.

United’s Under-23s compete in the Professional Development League, and they currently sit top of the Northern division. The side have won 13, drawn four and lost three matches so far this season having picked up 43 points. They are top by three points ahead of Nottingham Forest and United also have a game in hand.

The young Bees will have top scorer Aaron Pressley available on Wednesday afternoon as he'll be looking to add to his goal tally of 16 so far this season. Ethan Robb could continue in the heart of defence and the young Bees could welcome back Valgeir Valgeirsson who has been kept out recently through a short term injury.

On his side’s recent run, Brentford B Head Coach Neil MacFarlane said: “The team is growing and evolving all the time. I couldn’t be happier with them; we’ve done relentless work on the training ground and no matter what system or personnel in the team, we can handle it as a group.

“We want to keep improving and I have no doubts that we’ll always have that spirit and work ethic in the group.”

We're unable to stream the fixture from Bisham Abbey but we'll have live updates across social media as well as a report and post-match reaction.
