Neil MacFarlane’s side will go into the match full of confidence having beaten the likes of Forest Green Rovers, Ebbsfleet United, Chelsea Under-23s and a strong Charlton Athletic XI in recent weeks.

The match with Charlton saw the side keep a clean sheet as they gave very little away in terms of chances, whilst Aaron Pressley and Wraynel Hercules were clinical in attack to give the side a 2-0 win.

The Gunners come into the match off the back of a 1-1 draw away from home against Everton Under-23s. Folarin Balogun grabbed the Arsenal goal in the 81st minute to earn the side a draw against The Toffees. Prior to that match they lost 3-0 at home to Blackburn Rovers and were held to a 2-2 draw with Southampton in early March.

In charge of the Arsenal Under-23 side is Steve Bould, who has coached at The Gunners for a number of years. Starting out with the Academy he then went on to become Assistant Manager to Arsene Wenger in 2012, before taking on the Under-23 role in June 2019. Bould began his playing career with Stoke City before joining Arsenal in 1988 where he went on to have a great deal of success with the club.

The young Bees last came up against Arsenal Under-23s in December last year when a Saman Ghoddos strike from distance gave the side the win at London Colney. The likes of Luke Daniels and Dom Thompson also featured for the side in a game where The Bees battled to grind out a deserved win.

Unfortunately, the fixture at Bisham Abbey will not be live streamed, but we will have live updates on social media as well as a full report and post-match interviews.
