Reflecting on the match, Bryan said: “It was a really good match today. We applied what the coach wanted us to do well and that gave us a really good result in the end. I was really pleased to get my goal and that’s going to give me a lot of confidence going into the final games of the season. This result can also give us a lot of confidence as a group ahead of the run-in. We will see what will happen in the next six games but we will try to attack these games as hard as possible.”

It was a new look Bees who took to the pitch on Saturday with Bryan employed as a wing-back alongside a three-man back-line of Pontus Jansson, Christian Norgaard, and Ethan Pinnock. The French Under-21 international’s early goal came via a cross from fellow wing-back Mads Roerslev but it was his defensive duties that Bryan said he was most focussed on getting right.

“It was a different role for me today but we play at a level where you have to adapt,” admitted Bryan. “Of course, I prefer to play in the front line but if I need to play deeper to help the team then I am more than happy to do that. I tried to concentrate as much as possible today on my defensive work. I am trying to get better on that every day and I am really pleased that I did my bit today.”
