Bees host Ashford Town in Preliminary Round

17 September 2020

Brentford Women's FC continue their Vitality Women's FA Cup campaign this Sunday with a game against Ashford Town.

The match will be played at Bedfont Sport FC, TW14 9QT, kick-off 3pm. Tickets are limited to 400 on the day and priced at £3 for over-16s.

Karleigh Osborne's side progressed through the Extra-Preliminary Round with a penalty shootout victory over Royal Wootton Bassett WFC. Following a 1-1 draw in normal time, The Bees went through 7-6 on penalties against their higher division opponents.

Ashford play in the Premier Division of the London and South East Regional Women's League, two leagues above The Bees. The Tangerines opened their season with a 2-0 defeat at Dartford on Sunday.

Brentford WFC warmed up for Sunday's cup outing with a convincing 3-0 win over Comets in the Greater London Women's Football League Premier Division last weekend; Becca Wiltshire, Kaitlyn Spencer-Dempsey, and Molly O'Reilly netting the goals at Regents Park.

It was an even better start for the Development Team in Division Two North as they smashed ten past Camden Town at Bedfont Sports. Shannon Read scored four with Jasmine Williamson also netting a hat-trick in the resounding win.

The Development Team head to Hackney Marshes this upcoming Sunday for a game against Hackney Lionesses FC, kick-off 2pm.
