30 September 2020

Pontus Jansson has been named in the Sweden squad for games against Russia, Croatia, and Portugal next month.

Janne Andersson's side have a friendly in Moscow on Thursday 8 October, kick-off 5.30pm, before a pair of Nations League A3 matches. First up is a trip to the Stadion Maksimir in Zagreb to take on Croatia on Sunday 11 October, kick-off 5pm, before they head to Lisbon three days later for a game against the current European Champions, Portugal, kick-off 7.45pm.

Pontus played both of Sweden's opening defeats to France and Portugal, taking his number of caps for Sweden to 25. The Swedes initial 28-man squad will be trimmed to 25 following the game against Russia.

The Bees' skipper has played every minute of our three Sky Bet Championship outings so far this term, which have seen us take four points.
