Brentford FC reiterated its support for racial equality as the 2020/21 season got underway. Football has been showing solidarity against racial discrimination for the past few months and Brentford players and staff took part before the Carabao Cup First Round tie against Wycombe Wanderers on Sunday, as they have done throughout. Players from both teams took a knee for a short period before kick-off of the match. Our players had also done the same before the pre-season friendly against West Ham United a week before

Brentford players have also been wearing t-shirts to share our #BeeTogether message, the Club's policy on diversity and inclusion. The players' action follow a statement from the Club earlier this summer further outlining our position on Bee Together. That can be seen here. The Club has also released an updated video reiterating our stand against racism and discrimination. Under the #BeeTogether banner, the video features Brentford players, fans and staff, and stresses the importance the Club places on togetherness and unity. See it here.
