“It gives me a lot of pleasure to play my 50th game for Brentford but it gives me even more pleasure to score a goal like I did, and get an assist, on this occasion too,” said Bryan after the match. “Scoring a goal like I did today in this new stadium is something that gives me an enormous amount of pleasure. Hopefully there will be plenty more like that to come in the future.”

Josh Dasilva got the scoring underway against The Terriers on the hour before the two late goals put the seal on the win. Following the opening day defeat to Birmingham City, Thomas Frank’s side have bounced back with a Carabao Cup win over Southampton and then Saturday’s three points.

Talking about reacting to last weekend’s defeat, Bryan said: “We have really lifted our heads back up following that defeat at Birmingham. That was what we had to do. We did really well today, it was a real team effort. We didn’t take our chances at Birmingham last weekend, but we put that right today. We were patient; we stayed calm on the ball and waited for our opportunities to come. At the moment it is probably the best goal ever scored at the stadium, but the most important thing is getting the first three points of the season today.”
