Brentford B have returned to training at Jersey Road today. Players and staff within the group had to undergo a 14-day isolation period after a player involved in Brentford B’s London Senior Cup Final against Hendon recorded a positive test for Covid-19. They are now back on the training pitches at the end of that isolation period as they seek to get back to action and regular fixtures.
Discussing the period off away from training and matches, Brentford B Head Coach Neil MacFarlane said: “As a Club we’ve stuck to the guidelines properly with the isolation. Of course, there’s been a hit on us, but in the current climate this sort of thing was possible and it’s up to us to get on with it.
“I have kept in contact with them (the players) relentlessly,” said Neil. “We as a staff have a great relationship with the players which is important. We also have a great trust and we know that during that period they were continuously doing the programmes that had been given to them during the two-week isolation period.
“They’re having to regroup and go again, and I have no doubts about this group that we can hit the ground running.”
Details on upcoming matches will be announced in due course.
