Tony Harrington to take charge of Saturday's season opener

The Match Officials have been confirmed for our visit to Birmingham City

10 September 2020

The Sky Bet Championship campaign gets back up and running this Saturday. Our opening assignment is a trip to St Andrew's to take on Birmingham City. Ahead of the game, the officials have been confirmed

Referee: Tony Harrington

Assistant Referees: Shaun Hudson and Philip Dermott

Fourth Official: Michael Salisbury

Tony Harrington will be the man in charge of our season opening trip to Birmingham City.

All nine of Harrington's Brentford games have been in the second tier, with four of the last five coming on the road. Included in those games were away wins at Burton Albion and Rotherham United.

The Cleveland official's only game last season was November's unforgettable 7-0 victory over Luton Town at Griffin Park, which saw us awarded two second-half penalties. He was pencilled in to be the official for our trip to Fulham in March but that game was postponed due to Covid-19.

In total, Harrington's nine Brentford games have ended with three wins, two draws, and four defeats.

Last term, Harrington has brandished 89 yellow cards and seven reds in 34 matches.

Birmingham City 2019/20

624 fouls – 3rd in Championship

86 yellow cards – 4th in Championship

2 red cards – 13th in Championship

Saturday's game is only available to watch via Sky Sports. For more information click here
