It was very much a weekend to forget for our loan players as our nine away from the Club registered just one win between them.
That victory came in Denmark as Patrik Gunnarsson and Viborg FF scored twice in the final half hour to beat Hvidovre in the Nordic Bet Liga. VFF found themselves behind after 20 minutes but netted just past the hour through Frans Putros before Jakob Bonde scored the winner seven minutes from time. Patrik made a crucial save in the dying seconds to preserve the win and keep VFF four points clear at the top of the table.
Elsewhere on the continent, Julian Jeanvier missed Kasimpasa's 0-0 draw at home to Goztepe while Halil Dervisoglu played the final 30 minutes of FC Twente's 2-1 defeat at FC Utrecht.
Joel Valencia made his first start for Legia Warsaw, following two substitute appearances, as the reigning Polish Champions drew 0-0 away at Pogoń Szczecin.
In Sky Bet League One, Jaakko Oksanen was forced off by injury 19 minutes into AFC Wimbledon's 1-1 draw away at Burton Albion while Luka Racic played 70 minutes of Northampton Town's 2-0 defeat at home to Charlton Athletic. Jan Žambůrek was introduced in second-half injury-time as Shrewsbury Town were beaten 2-1 at home by Rochdale.
The Sky Bet League Two action saw Arthur Read play the full 90 minutes as Stevenage suffered a fourth defeat in five league outings; Leyton Orient running out 2-0 winners.
Said Benrahma wasn't involved in the 18 as West Ham United drew 1-1 at home to Manchester City; Phil Foden cancelling our Michail Antonio's superb overhead kick.
This midweek there's a full programme in the lower leagues with Shrewsbury Town at Fleetwood, AFC Wimbledon host Blackpool, Northampton Town visit Portsmouth, and Stevenage make the trip to Harrogate. On top of that, FC Twente have KNVB Cup First Round action at home to De Graafschap.
