Valgeir, who recently turned 18, has been playing for the First Team at HK Kópavogs in his native Iceland, and the right-sided forward player has also represented his nation at multiple youth levels.

Valgeir played 90 minutes for Kópavogs last night in their 1-1 draw with KR Reykjavík away from home, and he departs on loan with the Club ninth in the Úrvalsdeild karla.

Discussing Valgeir’s arrival at the Club, Brentford B Head Coach Neil MacFarlane said: “I am really pleased that we’re adding quality to the group, and also we’re adding boys that have been playing men’s football.

“Valgeir will be another fantastic addition, he’s another young player who has a lot of development to come, but he’s played men’s football and has both aspects to his game in terms of his attacking elements and his tenacious defensive work.

“I think that Valgeir has flashes of brilliance and we’ve seen some really good moments from him, he’s a player who gives everything for the team and I think that will marry with what we’ve already got within the group at the moment.”
