Brentford will end a 13-day spell without a game next Saturday when they host Coventry City and begin an intense run of fixtures. There are no Sky Bet Championship games while international fixtures are being played so Brentford's next match is next Saturday, 17 October. That is the first of seven fixtures in 21 days before the next break for more international football.

Coventry will be the third visitors to our new stadium for a league fixture and the fifth for a competitive game overall. The fixture will kick off at 3pm next Saturday and will feature teams with identical records. Both sides have won one, drawn one and lost two so far and have picked up their points in the same order, losing their first and most recent fixtures. The Bees have a superior goal difference so are four places ahead of Coventry, who sit 18th.

This is Coventry's first season in the Championship since 2011/12. They have spent seven of the last eight years in the third tier, winning promotion immediately after relegation to League Two. They were promoted as League One champions last season on a points-per-game basis after the campaign was halted due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

The match will, unfortunately, be behind closed doors. It will, however, be available live on iFollow Brentford. As per EFL communication on the broadcast arrangements for the new season, all of a team's games not selected for live coverage by Sky Sports will only be available on that platform. See more here.

Season Ticket Holders that agreed to freeze their seats for the current campaign in to 2021/22 will be sent a code that gives access to iFollow for Brentford v Coventry City. If you are not in that category, you can still watch The Bees against Coventry on iFollow.
