Brentford B have today completed the loan signing of Manchester United youngster Max Haygarth.
The 18-year-old midfielder has agreed a deal that runs until January, which has the potential to be extended during the next transfer window.
Haygarth, described as a player who can play in attack or midfield, has been at United since he was nine years old.
This season he has played for The Red Devils’ U23 side in the EFL Trophy, playing his part in United’s 6-0 win over Salford City in the opening group game.
B Team Head Coach Neil MacFarlane described the move for Max as a chance to build some momentum for the youngster.
"Max is a talented young player who has had a really hard time with injuries over a period of time," said Neil. "He is highly thought of at Man Utd and hopefully we can see the best of him.
"It’s a great sign of how we develop and push young players that Man Utd want to loan him to us. Hopefully he can build some momentum on the training ground with us and we can get him to the levels we know he can get to where he can make an impact at our club."
