Jaakko Oksanen impressed at the heart of the AFC Wimbledon midfield as they ended Swindon Town’s unbeaten home start to the season in Sky Bet League One. The only goal at The County Ground came just before the half-hour mark as Joe Pigott steered home Luke O’Neill’s deep cross. The victory lifts AFC up to 10th ahead of their home game against Jan Zamburek’s Shrewsbury Town next Saturday.

Also in the third tier, Luka Racic was an unused substitute for Northampton Town’s 2-0 defeat to Peterborough United at Sixfields. Nathan Thompson opened the scoring for the away side after 33 minutes and the points were wrapped up ten minutes from time through Reece Brown. A trip to Plymouth Argyle is up next for The Cobblers on Saturday.

In Sky Bet League Two, Arthur Read played the full 90 minutes as Stevenage drew 0-0 at Mansfield Town on Saturday. Despite there not being a host of chances, both sides saw efforts come back off the woodwork at Field Mill. The draw moves Stevenage onto five points from as many games and up to 15th in the table. Alex Revell’s side head to Forest Green in League Two next Saturday.

Our other four loan players also return to action next weekend. Julian Jeanvier and Kasimpasa face a trip to Fatih Karagümrük S.K. in the Turkish Süper Lig with Joel Valencia and Legia Warsaw hosting Zagłębie Lubin in the Polish top-flight on Sunday. Patrik Gunnarsson’s top of the table Viborg FF host Fremad Amager in the Danish NordicBet Liga while in Holland Halil Dervişoğlu could make his FC Twente debut at Willem II.
