Limited action for loan players this midweek

The action at home and abroad for our players away from TW8

29 October 2020

There was a full midweek programme in the EFL this Tuesday and Wednesday as well as action in the KNVB Cup.

Arthur Read played the full 90 minutes at the heart of the Stevenage midfield as they ended a three-game Sky Bet League Two losing streak with a goalless draw at Harrogate Town.

In Sky Bet League One, Jan Žambůrek was an unused substitute for Shrewsbury Town's 1-0 defeat at Fleetwood Town as was Luka Racic, the central defender watching Northampton Town lose 4-0 to Portsmouth. After going off early on Saturday with an ankle issue, Jaakko Oksanen wasn't involved in AFC Wimbledon's 1-0 win at home to Blackpool.

In Holland, Halil Dervişoğlu featured off the bench for the second-half of FC Twente's 3-1 KNVB Cup First Round defeat at home to De Graafschap. Two-down at the break, Casper Staring's strike on the hour gave Twente hope but that was extinguised in injury-time through Julian Lelieveld.

Julian Jeanvier is set for an extended spell on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on a ruptured ACL. The defender suffered the injury playing for Kasimpasa against Karagumruk last Sunday in the Turkish Super Lig.
