Pontus Jansson played the full 90 minutes for Sweden as they were beaten 2-1 in Croatia last night.

In a game between the two winless sides in League A3, the hosts took a 31st minute lead when Nikola Vlasic slid home from 15 yards. Sweden were level midway through the second half; Marcus Berg converting from close range following a fine passing move. The beaten 2018 World Cup finalists eventually took the points six minutes from time through Andrej Kramaric. At the midway stage, Sweden are bottom of Group A3 ahead of their trip to Portugal on Wednesday.

Henrik Dalsgaard and Mathias Jensen remained on the bench in Reykjavic last night as Denmark picked up their first win in League A2. The game turned on two minutes either side of the break at the Laugardalsvöllur as a Rúnar Már Sigurjónsson own-goal and Christian Eriksen’s calm finish gave The Danes a 2-0 advantage. The points were wrapped up on the hour when Robert Skov’s effort from the edge of the box whistled into the top corner. Denmark head to Wembley on Wednesday for their next Nations League game against A2 leaders England.
