After making his bow off the bench last month, Josh, who signed a new four-year contract with The Bees on Monday, was named in the starting XI for England's Under-21 European Championship Qualifier in Andorra. Aidy Boothroyd's Young Lions went into the game with a perfect record of six wins from six but fell behind to a 28th minute Ricard Fernández strike at the Estadi Nacional in Andorra-La-Vella.

Josh then took centre-stage. The 21-year-old set up Everton's Tom Davies for the equaliser on the stroke of half-time before putting England ahead with 20 minutes to play; receiving the ball inside the box from Liverpool's Curtis Jones, Josh took a touch and then finished under home keeper Iker.

That was Josh's last involvement as he was substituted two minutes later. In his absence, Fernandez pounced from close range for his, and Andorra's second, before Eddie Nketiah slotted home to put England back in front with eight minutes to play. The scoring still wasn't done with Christian Garcia breaking clear in the 91st minute to chip home the dramatic equaliser.

Despite the dropped points, England can still confirm qualification for next summer's finals in Hungary and Slovenia with a win over Halil Dervişoğlu's Turkey at Molineux next Tuesday.

It was all together more straightforward for Mathias Jensen and Henrik Dalsgaard against Faroe Islands in Herning. Mathias became the second Brentford player in as many games to made his Denmark debut while Henrik earned cap number 26 at the MCH Arena, home of FC Midtjylland.

After a tricky opening 20 minutes, Denmark showed the gulf in class with four quickfire goals. Andreas Skov Olsen's deflected effort opened the floodgates with Christian Eriksen converting from the penalty spot shortly after. Joakim Mæhle made it three goals in ten minutes when he finished from close range just past the half-hour. The damage was completed on the stroke of half-time by Andreas Cornelius' header.

Henrik was withdrawn at the interval with Mathias playing the full 90 minutes on his senior debut.

Next up for the pair is a Nations League A2 clash against Iceland in Reykjavic on Sunday. The Danes are currently third in their group with one point from games against Belgium and England while Iceland have lost both their opening matches to the same opponents.
