Both players will link up with their national team ahead of three fixtures against Italy, the Republic of Ireland and Armenia.

The match with Italy, which will be played on 12 November, is occurring due to the original fixture being postponed during the previous international break following positive cases of Covid-19 within the Italian camp.

Following their match with Italy in Reykjavik, the side will fly to Dublin to take on Ireland on Sunday, 15 November at the Tallaght Stadium, before finishing off their international duty in Larnaca, Cyprus, where they will play Armenia.

Group One in qualifying is currently very tight with Italy sitting top on 16 points, whilst Iceland are just one point behind, but they sit in fourth place, with Republic of Ireland second on 16 points and Sweden third on 15 points.

Patrik, currently on loan in Denmark with Viborg FF, has been featuring regularly for his loan side as they sit top of the Danish First Division. As for Valgeir, who has taken well to life in West London in his first month with Brentford B having netted four goals since joining on loan from Kópavogs, he has earned another call up for the national side after keeping up his good form.

Patrik recently featured for Viborg in their 1-1 draw with Fredericia on Friday evening whilst Valgeir was part of Neil MacFarlane’s Brentford B, who picked up a hard fought 1-1 draw with Maidenhead United on Saturday.
