Next Up: Queens Park Rangers

West London derby on Friday night

25 November 2020

Brentford extended their current run of form to six without defeat and one loss in nine with victory at Barnsley last night and they will be looking to keep that going as they face historic rivals Queens Park Rangers next. QPR will come to town on Friday, 27 November, for a Sky Bet Championship fixture. It will be their first visit to our new home and will be the third game in six days for both teams at the start of a run of nine fixtures in 28 days for all secon tier sides.

Brentford's win last night takes them to eighth in the table, albeit some Championship fixtures will be played this evening. QPR scored three first half goals as they beat Rotherham United last night. Rotherham had levelled at 1-1 and scored late on to pull it back to 3-2 but QPR took the points.

That win lifts them to 13th in the standings. They could drop a place if Cardiff City beat Coventry City tonight. They are three points behind The Bees and could climb above us with a resounding win on Friday. That victory came after two without a win but QPR have taken ten points from their last five games.

The Bees won both games between the teams last season. Both were shown live on Sky Sports and both ended in 3-1 wins for Brentford. The Bees have won the last five at home against QPR and been victorious in seven of the ten games between the sides since league fixtures resumed between the sides in 2015.

The match kicks-off at 7.45pm on Friday and will, unfortunately, be behind closed doors. It will, however, be available live on Sky Sports. As per Club communication, those that froze their Season Tickets will be able to watch on iFollow Brentford. See more here.

Fans who do not have Sky Sports can access the game online via Now TV. Fans can pay for one-day access, which would also give them the ability to watch that day's other live sport. Alternatively there are longer passes available. See more here.
